Atlanta is one of the top cities for human trafficking in the United States. This makes runaway youth targets for child sex trafficking. Within 48 hours of a child running away from home, he or she is more than likely to be approached by a trafficker to participate in commercial sex acts. Remember, these children are on the streets and basic needs have to be met. With Your donation, Magdalene’s Gate receives funding towards our goal of having the only youth shelter for females ages 12-17 in Gwinnett County (Metro-Atlanta). With only four licensed shelters in the state of Georgia, the support of our community is critical to our mission. Our services will include providing food, shelter, individual and family therapy, to runaway teens.
