We are combating cruelty and delinquency in youth of present day America.
Our name was derived from the following biblical scriptures:
Luke 8:2
And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils (KJV)
When Mary Magdalene came before Jesus she was healed and changed. When our youth come to us, we want to do whatever we can to mend their broken spirits and show them that God loves them.
Ezekiel 46:9
But when the people of the land shall come before the LORD in the solemn feasts, he that entereth in by the way of the north gate to worship shall go out by the way of the south gate; and he that entereth by the way of the south gate shall go forth by the way of the north gate: he shall not return by the way of the gate whereby he came in, but shall go forth over against it. (KJV)
When youth come into our shelter, they will come in with various problems. However, the way that they enter will be different from the way they exit.
Magdalene’s Gate is a faith based 501(c)(3) non profit that will provide temporary shelter for youth between the ages of 7-17. Though we are a faith based organization, we will accept any youth regardless of their religion or race. The youth that will reside in our shelter will include at-risk, homeless and/ or runaway youth. Once these children are in our care we will provide educational, therapeutic, and family counseling services to help them with dealing with the past and present trauma in their lives. We are currently raising funds for a location to shelter our youth.
Our Mission
Our mission is to enrich and enhance the lives of runaway, homeless and at-risk youth between the ages of 7-17 in the Gwinnett County area by providing immediate assistance and referral services through partnerships with community organizations
Our Vision:
Magdalene’s Gate will be the leading place of refuge for homeless, runaway, and at-risk youth between the ages of 7-17 in the Atlanta Metropolitan area. Our name will be a known resource to youth since we will be providing temporary housing and assistance to restore their lives.
By committing to help this future generation we are:
